Online Learning System for ESAB

The Background: 

ESAB were experiencing exponential growth, both in turnover and headcount, and had created a development programme for 30 of their ‘top-talent’ in order to begin to assess, map and develop the future leaders.

The Problem: 

However this process being primarily episodic they asked us to design a method of ensuring that all delegates remained hooked up before during and after the program, and that the learning continued and expanded during the intervening.

The Solution: 

We therefore designed a dedicated online coaching and development forum which allowed participants to ask questions, post comments, read around subjects and access the tutors 24/7 to ensure both that the learning was embedded but also enhanced and continuous in between sessions. The system also allowed delegates to remain ‘hooked up’ between sessions. The solution has been so successful that ESAB has broadened the process to include other high performance groups and project teams on the system.
